A part of my thesis show, these auroras were created by hand in the darkroom, summoned from the imagination of a mind that had never seen one. They accompanied archival footage and cyanotype pieces that spoke to my childhood fascination with arctic exploration and my relationship to that landscape which i had never seen and had only experienced as mediated by books and journals of those who had explored it themselves. . Photograms on gelatin silver paper, 11”x14” and 16”x20” in size.
