NOKIA: a digital archaeological examination of teenage love was made for publication by the Quarantine Public Library. The QPL is a repository of books made by artists, published for anyone to freely download, print and assemble—to keep or give away. This collaborative project was dreamed up by Katie Garth and Tracy Honn in May 2020, and though the project is not about COVID-19, it is explicitly of its time.
You can download and print your own copy of this book for free here — and explore many other free artists books on the QPL website.
The Library of Congress has added Quarantine Public Library to their Zine Web Archive. The collection includes fewer than 50 sites, among them Barnard's zine library, Broken Pencil, and Hyperallergic. QPL has also been acquired and catalogued by RIT and the University of Missouri–Columbia.
